On the face of the binding a satirical caricature depicting Rasputin embracing Nicholas II with his wife and a cluster of concubines at his feet.
The book is an interpretation of the monk's fate and the role he played in the last years of the Romanov dynasty, and includes a faithful description of the court of declining Czarist Russia. In the text, the author used a wide list of sources and literature including official documents, police files, diaries, letters and witness testimonies, among others.
