One of the first Polish women to study medicine in Paris at the end of the nineteenth century, she conducted pioneering research on vegetarianism, and her studies on the herstory of women in medicine are still a respected and cited source of knowledge in France. Unfortunately, she remains virtually unknown in Poland.
