Good condition, slight rubbing of covers, own signature on title page. First attempt at a historical monograph of the highland uprising which broke out in Podhale in February 1846 under the leadership of Jan Kanty Andruskiewicz, poet Julian Goslar and priests Jozef Leopold Kmietowicz and Michał Głowacki. This uprising, which had no serious political significance, is treated as an episode of the 1846 Krakow Uprising, but it became a permanent part of the history and legend of Podhale.
