Dedication to Joachim II Hector (1505-1571), Elector of Brandenburg, Duke of Szczecin, Pomerania, Kashubia, ..., married to Jadwiga Jagiellonka daughter of King Sigismund the Old of Poland. A comprehensive chronicle of the world, beginning with antiquity (Poland mentioned, as well as the Poles, Pomerania, Lithuania, the Baltic, the Vistula, the Oder). Carion Johannes (1499-1538) - prominent historian, mathematician and astronomer-astrologer (contradicted Copernican theory). Traces of dampstain and stains, own inscription. "Jos. de Wittej." , title page missing (here in reprod.), board binding, with loss of leather on spine and back cover, heavy rubbing, buckle marks, book block loose. Rare.
