Decedee en Pologne depuis peu de tems, ouvrage du sentiment, ou l'on trouve des Anecdotes aussi curieuses qu'interessantes. Par ;Auteur des Caracteres de l'Amitie. Paris 1770. chez Bailly, Libraire, Quai des Augustins, a l'Occasion. (17 x 10 cm), pp. 425, [4], ornaments, period leather binding, gilt lettering and decoration on spine.
(Estr. T. 14, notes the 1771 edition). Rubbing and unc. cracking of binding, unc. traces of dampstain, otherwise good condition. The book contains letters to a woman recently deceased in Poland, it is a sentimental work with valuable and interesting anecdotes. Mentioned in them are, among others: Andrzej Załuski, Rzewuski, Lubomirski, Czartoryska, Sidarski, Potocki, Sobieski, Zamojski, Jablonowski. Ludwik Antoni de Caraccioli (1721-1803) - teacher of Waclaw Rzewuski's sons, colonel in the Polish army.
