Janusz Przybylski is considered one of the leading artists of Polish New Figuration painting. He was also an accomplished printmaker, specializing in lithography and etching, and achieved significant artistic success in this field as well. He developed his own style, but was inspired by the works of such artists as: Francis Bacon, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Edward Kienholz, Diego Velazquez, Francisco Goya, and Pablo Picasso.
Janusz Przybylski has had dozens of solo exhibitions and has repeatedly received awards for his paintings and graphic works. Among other things, he represented Poland at the 11th Sao Paulo Biennale in 1971, where he was awarded the Gold Medal in graphics.
