Born 1947, Gdansk
After graduating from the art high school in Gdynia-Orlowo, he actively participated in the Gdańsk Photographic Society and the "Zak" film club in Gdansk. From 1971 to 1976 he studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk (now the Academy of Fine Arts), in the painting studio of Prof. Władysław Jackiewicz and in the fabric studio of Prof. Józefa Wnukowa. After graduation, he became a member of the Association of Polish Artists in Gdansk, where he served as chairman of the Youth Circle. In 1978, he began teaching as an assistant in the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture (now the Department of Audiovisual Arts) of the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology. In 1988, after defending his doctoral dissertation, he worked as an assistant professor in the same department. In 2000, he received a postdoctoral degree. As a didactician, he developed a number of original programs on the study of drawing and painting. He has participated in many competitions and individual and collective exhibitions. His paintings are in many collections at home and abroad.
