Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso, Tuscany 0.7L 14.5%, 2019 vintage; Le Macchiole Bolgheri Rosso was created in vineyards located in Bolgheri's extraordinary terroir. It was first bottled in 2004. It is produced from Merlot 40%, Cabernet Franc 30%, Cabernet Sauvignon 15% and Syrah 15% grapes, carefully harvested by hand between August and September. Fermentation and maceration take place in steel for 15 days. The wine is then aged for 11 months in second- and third-passage oak barrels, after which it is bottled. Bolgheri Rosso Le Macchiole is characterized by an intense ruby-red color with violet highlights. The nose opens with intense notes of cherry, red fruit and plum. On the palate it is elegant, fresh and balanced, with a long and pleasantly sweet finish. Estimated price: £500-550
