Lot description

Style: red, dry

Origin: France, Bordeaux, Saint Julien (2gie Grand Cru Classé)

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.

Aging potential: 2035

Reviews: 100 (Robert Parker)

A highly precise wine from a classic vintage. Michel Delon - the owner of the chateau at the time - believes that this vintage is his greatest achievement. Tennis are polished yet still full of vigor, which greatly incorporates the well built body. High concentration of succulent fruit (blackcurrant, berries, blackberry), cedar and graphite, spices, luxurious leather. This is one of the best Bordeaux (if not the absolut best) that I have ever tasted.  Taking into consideration the great vintage and high notes (100 points from Parker) it is a true collector's piece, with a very low availability on the market and swiftly appreciating prices.
