The work of the founder of democratic liberalism and Harriet Taylor Mill, wife of the official author, one of the first works to consider the effects of gender inequality. From the preface by the translator, publishing under a code name, M. Chyrzynska: none of the books published so far, and devoted to the cause of women's independence, has made such an impact on intelligent women representatives as Mill's booklet, small in volume but abundant in content.

The first printing of the translation, a very well-preserved piece, in a half-leather binding from about 100 years ago.
