Biography
She studied painting at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk, from which she graduated in 1955. She studied easel painting under A. Nacht-Samborski, wall painting under J. Żuławski and textiles under J. Wnękowa. After her studies, she emigrated to France. Her works took part in the exhibition "We are" in 1960, which presented the works of Polish artists living abroad. Madeyska used muted colors - subtle shades of lilacs, pinks, blues and browns. Paintings from the '90s are filled with spherical forms punctuated by lines. The collages she made on white notepad pages are different. They are dominated by saturated browns and blacks.
