The earliest known panorama of the city, comes from: Civitates Orbis Terrarum, vol. 2, published by Georg Braun and Frans Hogenberg, Cologne 1575; in the foreground, scene of greeting a Moscow envoy; on verso, text in Latin: GRODNA; copper-colored, condition fine, slight yellowing, trace of folding; sheet dimensions : ca. 545x410 mm; tit. against sky, pun ctuated by coat of arms:GROD / coat of arms / NA; in lower left corner small cartouche with second title: VERA DESIGNATI: / O VRBIS IN LIT: / TAVIA GRODNAE.
