There were special officers attached to each major Reichswehr unit, for documenting the Kaiser's troop gains, equipped with cameras, or sketchbooks. These units also had their own publications. From the Bug Army publication comes this album entitled Ivanovo. Janów Podlaski is known as the place of death of Andrzej Bobola, who was martyred by Cossacks in 1657. The illustrious artist Napoleon Orda was baptized in the local church.
