One of three specially prepared Second Polish Republic banknotes from 1924. Issued directly by the Ministry of the Treasury (rather than by the issuing bank). They supplemented the money supply at a time of a noticeable shortage of coins on the market. Denominations ranging from 1 to 50 groszy were produced at that time, but only the three highest denominations (10, 20, and 50 groszy) were not reprints.
