acrylic, canvas, 120 x 80 cm, signed p.d.: 'JSalak'
Graduate of Painting and Art History. Her work focuses primarily on acrylic painting, creating paintings that balance between the natural world, spirituality and introspection. Her works often refer to journeys - both cosmic and profound, as well as the most personal: into the self, one's own consciousness and the search for man's place in the universe. The power of women, emotionality and the need to experience reality in a deeper and more intuitive way also have a special place in her work.
The artist has had several original exhibitions and successful art auctions. She is also actively involved in charity and social activities, believing that art can realistically support others. Her paintings have repeatedly been donated to auctions supporting sick children and people in need of help. She has also organized charity vernissages and auctions of her own works, working, among others, with animal protection and animal rescue foundations around the world.
Joanna Salak is also the founder of the Gradient Art Foundation, which supports artists with disabilities. In her artistic and social activities, she consistently combines art with the idea of sensitivity, empathy and building a space for authentic dialogue through image.
