Sylwia Ewa Maślany - painter, graphic artist and designer
Born December 24, 1983 in Toruń
Sylwia Ewa Maślany graduated from Industrial Design at Koszalin Technical University. She currently lives near Torun, where she runs her studio. Professionally, she realizes herself as a graphic and interior designer. She creates works with animal motifs, using various techniques.
Her works comprise a subtle language that does not impose interpretations, but opens space for one's own discoveries. In Buttermilk's work, there are no ready-made answers or unambiguous manifestations about nature conservation. Instead, there are questions that float in the air, waiting for human reflection and action.
In 2023, the painter won an honorable mention in the National Painting Contest "Animalis". In 2024, the artist presented her works in a solo exhibition "Don't call me meat" at the Od Nowa gallery in Torun. The exhibition included a total of 50 works, including sculptures.
