The artist is interested in the themes of night, anxiety, and melancholy. She also draws inspiration from film culture, exploring the psychology of characters and the specific ways tension is built, as well as the symbolism and subtext hidden within the layers of reality. In her canvases, she calmly walks through nighttime streets illuminated by the solitary lights of windows, and travels by train through the evening wilderness of the forest. Using a night-vision device, he observes the lives of animals after dark, attempting to understand the atmosphere of oppression and the dread hanging in the misty air. The world of childhood fears hidden in the basement intertwines with an emotional nature whose instincts are just as unbridled as our own.
