oil on canvas, 40 x 50 cm, signed and inscribed on the reverse: “Astravore.” A soul that keeps feeling ∞ hope | even after disappointment - light - hungry - resilient | - unbreakable' | Julia Marcinkowska | KJ I | July 2026'
For her, the creative process is an act of trust, of following her intuition, and of completely surrendering control. In her work, she does not impose preconceived ideas on the canvas but allows the art to reveal itself—even to her. Instead of transferring predefined emotional states onto the canvas, she seeks to embody feelings through the very fabric of the painting itself.
She forgoes a rigid plan in favor of a dialogue with the painting medium, as this most fully reflects her inner sensitivity. Each work is an improvisation in which dense textures, organic shapes, and dynamically intermingling colors play a key role.
Most of the paintings are created spontaneously and in an unpredictable manner, serving as a record of a creative process that unfolds intuitively and evolves with each successive layer of the composition. As a result, each piece remains unique, authentic, and open to diverse interpretations.
