The publication contains 34 prints mounted as separate inserts on cardboard, including 23 color lithographs, as well as color woodcuts and linocuts. An integral part of the publication is also a calendar for 1913, consisting of four pages corresponding to the successive quarters, each adorned with a full-page color lithograph, as well as four full-page color lithographs featuring motifs inspired by folk art. In total, the publication includes 41 color prints, most of which are signed on the plate. The collection is complemented by 107 engravings included in the text, presenting a broad spectrum of Jan Bukowski’s graphic work—cover designs, bookplates, initials, and typographic ornaments. The volume concludes with a chronological list of the artist’s graphic works from 1887 to 1929, which is of particular documentary value.

Biography
Jan Bukowski—an outstanding painter and printmaker. He completed his art studies in Kraków, where he was a student of T. Axentowicz, J. Malczewski, and L. Wyczółkowski. He was a co-founder of the School of Fine Arts and Applied Arts for Women in Kraków. He traveled through Germany, Italy, and France. Initially, he painted portraits; later, he also painted landscapes, genre scenes, and mythological scenes. In his later work, he devoted himself to polychromy and book illustration.
