Jagoda Charkiewicz (b. 1982) is a Polish painter whose work grows out of careful observation of nature, everyday life and the world of inner experiences. In her works, nature dominates over the cultural achievements of civilization. She graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Częstochowa, majoring in jewelry, and then from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She completed her diploma in the graphic design studio of Prof. Lech Majewski, and the annex of painting was prepared under the direction of Prof. Adam Styka. In her paintings she combines color sensitivity with moodiness and subtle symbolism. She builds a world on the borderline between reality and imagination. In the series "Women-Bouquets" she intertwines female silhouettes with nature, emphasizing fragility, strength and transience. Her paintings have a personal, intimate character.
