Stefan PAPP (1932-2020).
Born in Chernivtsi, associated with Kraków. In 1958 he defended his diploma under X. Dunikowski. Press cartoonist, satirist, critic, cultural animator and activist. In 1975, at the Szadkowski Machine and Apparatus Building Plant in Grzegórzki, for an audience of over one and a half thousand people, he organized an interventionist show of contemporary art "Art and Work - vernissage at Szadkowski's" combined with the transformation of machines and factory materials by artists (J. Beresia, M. Kruczek, E. Buczyńska, J. Jeleńska-Papp, J. Rubiś and others). Together with J. Berdyszak involved in the editing of the Lagov Charter, a pro-ecological urban manifesto. Known for the action "Trees die in public" in Zielona Gora and documenting martial law "Attention! Children are watching" at the Palace of Art in Krakow. In the 1990s he experimented with photocopying.
