Pomerania (?), a Łupawa (Lupow) style imitation of a Saxon penny, c. middle of the 11th century.

Obv. X…, illegible legend; within a pearled circle, an open right hand put on the long cross.

Rev. +..LVNRIIIEN; within a pearled circle, a cross with pellets in angles.

Slightly elevated rim. Silver, 1.09 g, 18.0 mm. Very Fine, several minor old pecks.

Imitation of a Saxon coin of Bernard II (1011-1159), struck at Lüneburg, Dannenberg type 590. Probably unrecorded.
