Italian State-Church Concordat 1929

Optical composition painting, depicting the three signatories of the 1929 State-Church concordat, Pope Pius X, Benito Mussolini and King Vittorio Emanuele III. The painting is composed of a background lithographic print with the portrait of Pope Pius X, and two other lithographic prints cut in vertical strips, placed so that looking at the painting from the right you will see the portrait of Vittorio Emanuele III, and looking at it from left you will have the portrait of Benito Mussolini. Looking at the picture from the front, Pope Pius X will appear. In a coeval frame, carved wood, with protective glass. Interesting heirloom testimony of Italian history
