Oleksiy Malykh was born in 1956 in Berlin and grew up in Kyiv. In 1981 he graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Graphics. In 1979, he began exhibiting in Moscow, and has been particpating in regional and international exhibitions since 1987. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. ince 1996 has has been the coordinator of the land-art festival Springwindfest. He is the founder of the contemporary art school in the RA Gallery in 2004. Lives and works in Kyiv.

Oleksiy Malykh urodził się w 1956 roku w Berlinie adorastał w Kijowie. W 1981 roku ukończył studia na Moskiewskim Państwowym Instytucie Pedagogicznym na Wydziale Grafiki. W 1979 roku zaczął wystawiać w Moskwie. Od 1987 roku uczestnik wystaw regionalnych i międzynarodowych. Członek Narodowego Związku Malarzy Ukrainy. Od 1996 prowadzi nadzór nad projektem „Wiatr wiosenny”. Założył szkołę sztuki współczesnej w Galerii RA w 2004 roku. Mieszka i pracuje w Kijowie.
