Denmark 1 Speciedaler 1624 NS Christian IV (1588-1648). Obverse: Crowned half-bust of King Christian IV facing right over a big ornate cartouche with king’s name and titles. The bust (but not the cartouche) is inside a rope circle with King's motto outside. At bottom the numbers of date are divided by cartouche lobes. Mintamarks are at sides of cartouche. Reverse: Ornate oval Danish arms on a cross with long arms encircled by a ring of 13 fancy shaped shields of Danish territories; all inside an outer pearled circle. Above; cutting the pearled circle; the Danish crown. Below on the lower arm of cross the pendant of the Order of the Elephant. Lettering: BENEDICTO DOMINI DIVITES FACIT. Silver 28.65g. Old patina.
