Polish painter, poet. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She studied from 1922 to 1927 in the class of painter Tadeusz Pruszkowski. While still a student, she met Rotmistrz Stefan Orłowski, who was beginning his military career in the 1st Regiment of Lancers of the Polish Legions of Władysław Belina-Prażmowski, just like her professor. She agreed to marry him on the condition that she would be able to participate in Kazimier plein-air events and continue her studies. In 1933 Maria Wędrowska had a solo exhibition of her paintings in Bialystok. She made trips to Italy and Austria. She created easel paintings on religious themes, portraits and stained glass. In 1945-1947, she was a drawing teacher at the high school in Ozarow Mazowiecki. The painter portrayed family members, acquaintances and friends, and also painted atmospheric landscapes and floral compositions.
