Biography
She studied at the Pinsk State Higher School of Fine Arts (graphic design) and at Vitebsk State University under the guidance of P.M. Masherov. For six years, she taught art at an art school and participated in exhibitions in Belarus, Poland, Russia, Spain, and Italy. Her works are held in private collections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. In her artistic works, she explores space. Her abstract paintings reveal the potential of minimalist composition and unveil a new illusion of perception. Each painting is built up in layers with an artistic balance of forms, which Julia initially sketches on a graphics tablet. The contrast between the focal point and the surrounding space creates an impression of depth and volume through golden lines and the shadows they cast on a white background, rendered using the sfumato technique. Where the golden lines intersect, the shadows are deepest, creating a sense of infinite depth—an illusion of penetrating a space that seems to extend beyond the canvas’s edges, while the light seems to inexorably draw the viewer inward. Her thought-provoking works of art—as the artist says—open up possibilities and proclaim infinity and eternity.
