Rare and very desirable shield type in the form of a small round shield (Parma shield). Greatly preserved with almost full original silvering.
Obverse: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG
Reverse: VIRTVS PROBI AVG = Emperor galloping right, spearing enemy, whose shield lies beneath horse (VIR-1 variant in Gysen's classification)
BUST TYPE: E1 = radiate, cuirassed and helmeted bust left, holding spear and (Parma) shield
