It happens that coincidence, scientific research or the sharp eye of the observer that the artist is gifted with can determine the form that painting takes. For Andrzej Fogtt, the inspiration to undertake experiments with magnetic fields in paintings came from fractals, objects that are themselves similar with an infinite amount of detail. The artist purchased a large number of magnets, a plate and steel dust, which he added to the paint. Under the influence of the magnetic field, a fractal-like reaction took place. Then the artwork had to be finished. Another interesting observation, but also a method, is working with photography. Thanks to this medium, Andrew Fogtt touches the structure of nature visible in a sheet of rippling or agitated hailstorm water consisting of small lines or even finer textures. With this, the painter proves that the painting structure, like his inspiration, comes from nature.
