Olga Shcheblykina (1986) is a visual artist from Kamianske, Ukraine currently based in Steyr (Austria). She studied in the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, UK and is currently pursuing her education in the University of Arts Linz, Austria. She makes paintings, installations and photographs. Using art as a form of self-expression, Olga pays special attention to maintaining spontaneity in her practice. Using vivid palettes and unsettled textures to communicate her inner life and explore themes of sensitivity, vulnerability, corporeality and feminism. Throughout 2021-2022, Olga participated in group exhibitions in art spaces in Greece, UK, Austria. In February and March, 2022, she took part in the online residency program "Bonfire". Olga is a part of the artistic duo University of Sensitivity.
"Statement In my art, I explore sensitivity, feminism and self- transformation. The transfiguration of internal impulses in the external world, re-creation and disintegration of the self. The transition of wildlife into the culture. Feelings of loneliness, isolation, and terror take shape through mixed-media experimentation and spontaneous colour play. On top of a dark background, which creates depth and shadow in my expressionist works, I roughly and intuitively lay a colourful rainbow of funeral wreaths and texture to create a sense of motion. Fleshy, biomorphic shapes morph and seep out of the canvas; oil paints embody the release of suppressed emotions. I reflect on the complex structure of the relationship between a person and a body. Transforming internal organs into intricate biomorphic clusters, turning them into decorative vessels. The thinnest threads that bind chaotic substances are at the same time a restraining element of this fragile structure and a channel through which food, air, and blood enter. My paintings do not reflect the anatomical reality but convey the feeling of plasticity within these flesh clots when it seems that they are about to beat. The plasticity that allows the body to exist becomes the basis for the decorative appeal."

Olga Shcheblykina (1986) jest artystką wizualną z Kamianske na Ukrainie, mieszkającą obecnie w Steyr (Austria). Studiowała na University of Hertfordshire w Hatfield w Wielkiej Brytanii, a obecnie kontynuuje edukację na University of Arts w Linz w Austrii. Tworzy instalacje i fotografie. Wykorzystując sztukę jako formę autoekspresji, Olga zwraca szczególną uwagę na zachowanie spontaniczności w swojej praktyce. Używa jaskrawych palet i zaburzonych faktur, aby przekazać swoje wewnętrzne życie i zgłębić tematy wrażliwości, cielesności i feminizmu. W latach 2021-2022 Olga brała udział w wystawach zbiorowych w przestrzeniach artystycznych w Grecji, Wielkiej Brytanii i Austrii. W lutym i marcu 2022 wzięła udział w programie rezydencyjnym online „Ognisko”. Olga jest częścią artystycznego duetu Uniwersytetu Wrażliwości.
“W swojej sztuce zgłębiam wrażliwość, feminizm i autotransformację. Przemiana impulsów wewnętrznych w świecie zewnętrznym, odtworzenie i dezintegracja jaźni. Przejście dzikiej przyrody do kultury. Poczucie samotności, izolacji i przerażenia nabiera kształtu dzięki eksperymentalnymi środkami przekazu i spontanicznej zabawie kolorami. Na ciemnym tle, które tworzy głębię i cień w moich ekspresjonistycznych pracach, z grubsza i intuicyjnie układam kolorową tęczę wieńców pogrzebowych i faktury, aby stworzyć wrażenie ruchu. Mięsiste, biomorficzne kształty zmieniają się i wypływają z płótna; farby olejne uosabiają uwolnienie stłumionych emocji. Zastanawiam się nad złożoną strukturą relacji między osobą a ciałem. Przekształcanie narządów wewnętrznych w skomplikowane skupiska biomorficzne, przekształcanie ich w naczynia ozdobne. Najcieńsze nici wiążące substancje są jednocześnie elementem krępującym tę kruchą strukturę i kanałem, przez który przedostaje się pożywienie, powietrze i krew. Moje obrazy nie odzwierciedlają anatomicznej rzeczywistości, ale przekazują wrażenie plastyczności tych skrzepów. Plastyczność, która pozwala ciału istnieć, staje się podstawą dekoracyjnego uroku."
