Biography:
Born on March 14, 1957 in Wily, Podlasie.
Painter.
Graduate of the High School of Fine Arts in Suprasl, then the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Tadeusz Dominik. (Diploma in 1984). Since 1996 he led a guest painting studio at the same academy. He became a lecturer of painting space at the Faculty of Media Art and Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
He maintains an emotional connection with what constitutes the character of his home pages - nature. He looks humbly, recording either rhythms or color combinations. He often takes the opportunity to go beyond the stretcher frame. He paints the space of walls, columns, floors. Belorussian roots are important to Tarasewicz, and he often promotes the culture of this minority in Poland. In 1988 Tarasewicz's works were presented as part of the Venice Biennale at the Aperto'88 exhibition.
He is the winner of the Jan Cybis Award, the Nowosielski Award, among others.
