Signed "François Baillon". Signed and inscribed on the reverse of the back plate. Signed and dated "P. Du Roy 1747" on the verso of the dial.
Paris, 18th century.

Functions:
Hour and minute hands, cast and gilt. Winding hole above the VI. strike on two bells.

Case:
Cast and chased in bronze. With open-worked sound box with à jour trellis pattern. Richly decorated with three-dimensional rocailles and tendrils, as well as acorn fruits and blossoms. Glazed dial and pendulum case.

Dial:
Midnight blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes, as well as baton indices over a white enameled ground.

Condition:
Not tested for functionality. No pendulum and no key present. (1421787) (1) (13))
