A distinctive brass "sample" of the communist period, initiated by PTAiN and Wladyslaw Terlecki (then director of the State Mint).
The first samples made on this initiative were circulating aluminum coins (from 5 pennies to 1 zloty) with the concave inscription SAMPLE struck. Only after "protests" by PTAiN members was it decided to replace them with brass coins made in an edition of 100 pieces (more on this subject in the catalog"Polish Proof Coins 1949-1990" by J.Parchimowicz).
Brass, diameter 20.0 mm, weight 3.87 g.
