Studied at the State Higher School of Visual Arts in Gdansk (now: Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk) from 1959 to 1965; initially under the direction of Prof. Piotr Potworowski, later under the direction of Prof. Stanisław Borysowski.
He painted mainly figurative compositions, nudes, less frequently landscapes; in his works he sometimes took up themes of the sea and coast. He participated in district and national exhibitions since 1965, and in foreign exhibitions since 1968. His works are in Polish museums and private collections at home and abroad, including Montreal, Algiers, Sydney, New York, Paris, Malmö and Caracas
