[ZAKRZEWSKI Boguslaw]. Two typescript letters from the Polish ambassador in Thailand to Zdzislaw Najder regarding Conrad's stay in Bangkok and the planned visit of a film crew in connection with the film adaptation of "Smudge of the Shadow," dates. 14 May and 15 June 1975 in Bangkok.
One-sided letters on an A5 sheet. Boguslaw Zakrzewski has been organizing a Polish diplomatic post in Thailand since 1974. In the first letter, he asks Najder to point out places associated with Conrad and for information "whether and how Conrad sites were venerated abroad." The second letter thanks him for his extensive response to the first, and reports on his efforts to accommodate A. Wajda and the film crew at the Oriental Hotel, where Conrad once lived. He also exchanges a few remarks about mutual friends. Good condition.
