[UNGER Leopold]. Typescript letter from Leopold Unger, as editor of "Życie Warszawy", to Zdzisław Najder, no date (before 1969).
One-sided letter on A4 sheet, on "Życie Warszawy" correspondence paper. The letter relates to the studies of Z. Najder's stepson and an article concerning this matter. Unger informs that the Office of Foreign Cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education did not receive the letter from the candidate for studies, and therefore did not take any action. Transverse folding marks, good condition.
L. Unger (1922-2011) - journalist, essayist, commentator on international affairs. Worked in "Życie Warszawy", left the country in 1969 as a result of the March events, settled in Belgium. "He was a regular contributor to the Paris-based Kultura, the Polish Broadcasting Service of Radio Free Europe, the Polish section of the BBC, and the International Herald Tribune. He was also a columnist for Gazeta Wyborcza" (Wikipedia). He used the pseudonyms Pol Mathil and Brukselczyk.
