[SZYMBORSKA Wisława]. Handwritten "sticker" by Wislawa Szymborska with New Year's greetings addressed from Cracow to Danuta Herbert-Ulam in Paris, probably in the early 1990s.
Sheet of stiff cream paper form. 10.5x14.7 cm. On one side pasted fragments of texts cut out from magazines (e.g.: 6 months to try!, Personal Credit! 112 photographs, each in a different position very spicy photos send for sending crowns 1.80 in marks). On the back handwritten Christmas and New Year's wishes signed "from Vislawa" and four cut out "handles" indicating ta poet text. Preserved original envelope hand-addressed by Szymborska. The addressee of the correspondence is Danuta Herbert-Ulam with her family, cousin of Zbigniew Herbert, wife of prominent physicist Juliusz Ulam. Rear envelope leaf missing, contents in very good condition.
W. Szymborska (1923-2012) - poet, essayist, critic, translator, columnist, winner of the Nobel Prize in literature in 1996, founder of the Association of Polish Writers in 1989.
