[NAJDER Zdzisław]. Decision of the Railway Customs Office in Warsaw to forfeit foreign publications brought by Zdzislaw Najder from the USA, dated. 22 AUG. 1968.
Single-sided typescript on Customs Office letterhead, form. A4. The text lists 8 book titles (e.g., two issues of the quarterly "Topics" from 1966, "Seen from Above" by T. Staliński (S. Kisielewski), "A Brief History of Western Man" by T. Greer) that are "prohibited for import" and, as such, are subject to forfeiture. The document indicates the Communist government's nourishing belief in the great power of the printed word. Traces of folding, good condition.
Attached is a decision of the Main Customs Office, as a response to an appeal against a previous decision. This time the challenged books were allowed to be published, with the exception of S. Kisielewski's pacy. The document bears the date of November 5, 1968.
