Beautifully published (printing on chalk paper), richly illustrated (color and black and white illustrations) biography of Saint Jadwiga, Queen of Poland, patroness of Poles. The book is dedicated by the author in print to Jadwiga of Count Działyński, Jenerałowa Zamoyska, "Whose name the great queen most worthily bears." The last two chapters of the book are devoted to the miracles of Jadwiga and the figure of the queen in art and poetry. Full-page illustrations depict scenes from the queen's life and legends associated with her.
