A sad anniversary! Silesians! On the fourth of February we celebrated the three-hundred-year [!] anniversary, when our beloved Těšín Silesia had to endure hard times that [!], God willing, will not live again. The people of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia proclaimed themselves to the Evangelical faith from nine tithes. In Silesia lived only three sta [!] Catholics [...] The Poles having joined with the Cossacks invaded our Silesia on 4./II. 1620 r. [...]. When the Poles [...] saw that the siege of the cities was of no use, they let out all their anger on the defenseless rural citizens [...]. What the enemy did not take, they burned [...]. With such love the Poles were already referring to evangelicals at that time [...]. So we cannot vote for the Poles for the wrongs they committed [!] on our ancestors [...] we will give our vote to the Czechoslovak republic! B. m. [II 1920].
