A unique print depicting the most important formations of the Russian army suppressing the January Uprising against thebackground of a double-headed eagle. Printed in the famous magazine Le Monde Illustré, it was in opposition to a second graphic depicting Polish insurgent armed formations. The steel engraving was created by prominent artists of the era, Henry de Montaut (1829-1889) and Charles Maurand (1824-1904). Graphic pasted on bristol .
