Made of navy blue cloth, fastened with five elongated, metal, silver-plated buttons. Trimmed with cotton galloon, white. On the front five horizontal shamrocks, decorated at the edges with metal rosettes of the 1868 pattern. The back of the jacket with a zipper and shamrocks, as well as both cuffs. Shoulder epaulettes sewn from cotton tape attached with metal buttons with the number "1" (squadron designation). The regimental designation is missing - the numeral "8". Standing collar, fastened with hooks (one missing). Cotton lining, black.
