Biography
Monika Drozynska visual artist embroiderer activist. Graduate and doctoral student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Pioneer of embroidery techniques in contemporary art and textiles in public space. She is interested in language, which she explores using hand embroidery on fabric. She has collaborated with the Zachęta National Gallery of Art, the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, the Contemporary Museum in Wroclaw, Mumok in Vienna, the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, Bozar in Brussels, Sotheby's. Tel Aviv. Works in the collection of Bunkier Sztuki, National Museum in Krakow, Mocak Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, National Museum in Kiev, Lentos in Austria. She has been nominated for the Passports of Polityka (2012, 2013). She is also the founder of "School of embroidery for ladies and gentlemen Złote rączki". She is currently working on her doctoral thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow.
