metal, silver, turquoise.
Poland, Galicia (Cracow, Lviv), late 19th century.
Buttons (so-called "pągwice") for the żupan and kontusz - a Polish historical costume, eagerly sewn on the model of old costumes and worn "on holidays" by landowners in the 19th century.
One of the buttons is silver (Austrian pr. 3 and marking "E" for Cracow), with a 6-petal rosette ending in turquoise; the others are metal, silver-plated (?). Spherical, of various sizes, with a rosette in the finial and a loop for sewing on the underside. The largest one - openwork, camouflaged with turquoise (and glass imitating stones?).
State of preservation: one of the buttons slightly deformed.
