Wooden box, with slightly convex hinged lid; carved with Hutsul geometric motifs: on the lid three rosettes framed by zigzag stripes; similar designs on the walls. Inlays of white and blue beads and mother-of-pearl.
Signature on the bottom: "JURKO KORPANJUK 1941" (in Cyrillic - "JURKO KORPANJUK").
The Korpanjuk family of Yavorov - father Ivan "Bulbak" and sons Jurko, Semen and Petro - were engaged in cooperage, woodcarving and brassworking.
