800 sterling silver hallmarked (set of fancy hallmarks and French import mark used after 1893); height 50.5 cm, width 36 cm, depth 36 cm; weight 4176 g.
Germany, late 19th century.
On four paw-shaped legs and a square, stepped base decorated with a stripe of kimatation ornament, with a cannelled shaft supported on a cylindrical pedestal, in which is set a candelabra stand with a short baluster stem, topped with a vase-shaped sleeve with a plate-shaped profitka and with six sigmoid-curved, cannelled, acanthus-decorated arms ending similarly.
Preserved condition: in one candelabra the central sleeve with the profitka is movable.
