The plate decorated in a mirror convex tondi with a relief image of Our Lady of Guidance (Hodogetria), who with her left hand carefully supports the infant Jesus, at the same time with her right hand points to him, thus giving a hint as to what path we should take and follow. Christ raises his right hand in a gesture of blessing, while in his left hand he holds a scroll with the text of the Gospel. At the top are the Greek letters MP and OY (the Greek abbreviation for Mother of God). Under the tond engraved cross and Greek inscriptions. The collar decorated with a relief floral vignette on a punched background. The plate in its original maroon cloth cover, with a cross printed in the circle and Greek inscription in the rim OIKUMENIKON PATRIARCHEION.
