Body circular in plan, tapering towards the top, smooth, under the upper edge decorated with applied acanthus leaves, with a spout in the form of a short bill decorated with a rooster's crest and leaves, with a handle of turned wood, fixed horizontally, set in a sleeve decorated with a rocaille rosette; hinged lid, exalted, with a circular hole in the middle for insertion of a flint, covered with a stylized flower.
Some studies give Louis Coignet's period of activity as 1889-1903.
