Fraget Warsaw - Tsarist Art Nouveau Silver-plated Sugar Box "Iris" Oval.

Oval silver-plated Art Nouveau sugar bowl "Irys" made by the famous Warsaw company - Fraget from 1896-1915. Extremely valued legendary design "Irys", iconographic example of Polish Art Nouveau. The sugar bowl in an oval form supported on four legs and with a hinged lid topped with a protruding leaf. The body of the sugar bowl decorated in a floral pattern with Iris flowers. On the underside signed "Fraget N Plaque", Tsar's eagle (used until 1915), workshop mark, catalog number (2779) and series number. Preserved original silvering with visible rubbing. The lid minimally does not close. Condition as shown in photos. Height : Approximately 11cm. Width about 16cm. Depth about 9.5cm
