Biography
Graduated from the Warsaw School of Fine Arts in 1910, where he studied with Ferdynand Ruszczyc and Konrad Krzyżanowski from 1905. In 1913 he left for Paris. With 1924, he moved to Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River. There he belonged to the Art Section at the Society of Friends of Kazimierz and participated in local art shows. He painted mainly landscapes, less frequently still lifes and portraits. The leading theme of his works was the architecture and folklore of Kazimierz. His style of painting was heavily influenced by the work of Paul Cézanne. He exhibited most often in Warsaw, many times at the Institute of Art Propaganda. He also created and exhibited his works after the war. In 1960, an exhibition was held in Lublin, which summed up his artistic achievements.
